Hope this helps. What I know, I haven't installed anything or done any changes in the system configuration. The above solution of error 720 vpn is working on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows XP. Unfortunately I was ata hotel and my connection was not as consistent it we would like it so we determined that after his "tweaking" I should attempt again when more stable.
Once done removing the bad miniports, reboot.
