If you are running remote desktop , it takes over the console session and VNC cant connect. When you log in via MS TS, it takes control of the terminal; when you log out of TS, it locks the terminal and you have to enter CTRL+ALT+DEL to log If so then we'll look into providing a more useful error response in this situation, until full XP compatibility is complete.
