up vote 63 down vote Sometimes it is just a matter of closing Visual Studio 2015 and then open again. So far, I've opened about 10 programs that I created in VS2013 or earlier (or at least have forms that open properly on VS2013), and only this one has problems, but You mention "other forms", do you mean that the same problem exists on forms that do not host this DGV? It will all get generated again when you restart the IDE and rebuild. In this case, deleting the .suo file will solve the situation because it reset the open files list, so the solution can start up without opening/showing any files.
