One thing that helped me in these kinds of error on Windows Forms would be the following: Open your Visual Studio 2005 solution for your GUI application. Executables should always be compiled as x86. I have had the same kinds of problems with the C# Windows Forms designer (VS2005) : the form usually ended up opening correctly (after 5 tries, quite consistently). Download and run any service packs or updates for both Visual Studio and SQL server. I discovered when looking at the "properties" dropdown that there were several dozen controls in the form that served no purpose and were not visible on the form when they were Please help.
